This page explains how to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information with Best Home Offer Today LLC, doing business as Who Buys Houses Fast. It is part of our Privacy Policy.

What this means in plain English

Some state privacy laws, including California's, give you the right to tell a business not to "sell" your personal information or "share" it for cross-context behavioral advertising (often called targeted advertising). You can use that right at any time, and it costs nothing.

What "sale" and "sharing" mean for us

Who Buys Houses Fast is a nationwide cash home buyer. We buy some homes directly and also share seller submissions with a network of independent local cash buyers, real estate investors, licensed agents and other partners who may contact you. Under some state laws, that kind of sharing can count as a "sale" because it may involve value in return. Two activities matter here:

• Sharing your submission with partner buyers, investors and agents. This can include your name, phone number, email, property address and property details, along with your answers to the survey.
• Advertising cookies and pixels. We use tools from companies such as Google, Meta, Microsoft and TikTok. These tools may receive device and visit information, ad click identifiers and form activity so we can measure and target our advertising. Under some state laws, this counts as "sharing" for targeted advertising.

We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16.

How to opt out

You have two ways to opt out.

Option 1: Submit a request on our contact page

Go to our contact page and fill out the form. In your message, write Do Not Sell or Share, and include the name, phone number, email and property address you used on our site, so we can find your record. If you want, add your state of residence.

Option 2: Use the Global Privacy Control

We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. If you turn on GPC in a supported browser or browser extension, we treat it as a valid request to opt out of sale and sharing for that browser. If we can link the browser to a record we hold about you, such as when you are signed in or have submitted a form, we also apply the opt out to that record. You do not need to do anything else for GPC to work, but you may need to repeat the setting on each browser and device you use.

What happens after you opt out

• We stop sharing your information with partner buyers, investors and agents for sale or sharing purposes, and we stop using it for targeted advertising, going forward.
• We will process your request as soon as we reasonably can, and no later than the time your state law requires.
• Information you already submitted before you opted out may already be with a partner. We will ask partners to honor your request where required, but we cannot control copies already in their systems. You can also contact those partners directly.
• We may still use and share information as needed to provide the service you asked for, comply with the law, prevent fraud and keep records. If you ask us to make you an offer directly, we may use your information to do that.

Verification

To protect your information, we may ask you to confirm details we already have, such as the phone number, email or property address on your submission. We use this only to verify your request. For an opt out of sale or sharing, we ask for only the minimum information needed to find your record.

Authorized agents

You may have an authorized agent submit a request for you. Through our contact page, the agent should state that they are acting for you and include proof of their authority, such as your signed permission. We may contact you to confirm that you authorized the agent.

No discrimination

We will not discriminate against you for opting out or using any other privacy right. We will not deny you our services, charge you a different price, or give you a different level of service because you opted out, except as allowed by law.

Opting out of texts and calls is separate

This opt out applies to the sale and sharing of your personal information. It is separate from opting out of calls, texts and emails.

• Texts: Reply STOP to any text message. Reply HELP for help.
• Emails: Use the unsubscribe link in any email.
• Calls: Tell the caller to stop calling, or send a request through our contact page.

Opting out of sale or sharing does not stop texts or calls, and replying STOP does not opt you out of sale or sharing. If you want both, do both.
